In keeping with the Marist charism, the ministries of the Marist Brothers focus on education, social justice and youth. They reflect the challenges associated with meeting the needs of a diverse society with the spirit of Mary and Marcellin Champagnat as guides. In support of this the Centre provides in-service, leadership training and retreat programs.Permanent Offices of Catholic Superannuation, Centacare and Aunties and Uncles Queensland are located on the top floor of the Heritage Building.
More widely, the Centre is available to the Catholic and general community as a well-equipped venue for its own training and conference needs. Whether it is a short meeting for a dozen or a weekend conference for 120, the Lavalla Centre can meet your needs. Self catering or outside catering is available. Recreational facilities include swimming, tennis and basketball.
